37 years of engineering excellence
Always at the forefront
A Portuguese foundry casting and machining the marine propellers, blades, hubs and components that keep the world’s most demanding fleets moving. In bronze and stainless steel, since 1989.

Where our propellers sail
From merchant tonnage to the hardest duty afloat.
Thirty-seven years of castings have gone into almost every kind of hull. Alongside the merchant fleet, Fundilusa supplies the two segments where a propeller is judged hardest: naval and military programmes, and icebreakers and ice-class vessels, both delivered in ISO 484 Class S.
See the accuracy classes →Naval & military
Class S propellers and blades for navy programmes, where radiated noise and vibration are design requirements.
Icebreakers
Ice-class blade sections built to take impact loading no open-water propeller is designed to see.
Cruise & passenger
Comfort-class tolerances where cabin noise and vibration decide whether the ship is accepted.
Merchant fleet
Bulk carriers, tankers, container ships and feeders, in Class II and Class I, at volume.
Offshore & support
PSVs, AHTS and tugs, where thrust and manoeuvring duty are relentless and downtime is expensive.
Research & special
Survey and research vessels with acoustic requirements, plus one-off replacements to drawing.

Development & Production
Factories
Two foundries. One standard.
Fundilusa operates from two fully-equipped foundries: the historic plant in Campos VNC, Portugal, and our facility in Tanger, Morocco. Both combine craftsmanship, robotics and CNC machining under one demanding quality system.
and Tanger, Morocco.
Quality control
Checked at every stage, not just at the end.
Quality is not an inspection at the door. Each piece is verified as it is built: chemical analysis and degassing at the furnace, solidification simulation before the pour, dimensional control against the 3D model, non-destructive testing, and dynamic balancing before surface protection.
Certified quality
ISO 9001 since 1999. Classified before delivery.
Fundilusa has operated under the ISO 9001 quality system since 1999, certificate PT006500 issued by Bureau Veritas, within an integrated quality and environmental system built to NP EN ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Every product is classified by a recognised society before it leaves the works.
Also RINA and Germanischer Lloyd, among others.
